SAP SD Variant Configuration

How to do work out on Variant Configuration?

I assume that you created Enterprise structure; let us think it is like below structure of 'ABCD Company.

Company (FI) - ABCD
Company code (FI) - 00AB
Sales Org (SD) - ABCD
Distribution Channel - AB
Division - AB
Sales office - ABCD
Sales group - ABC
Plant - ABCD
Storage location - ABCD
Shipping point - ABCD

Below picture will say how the Org'n structure looks like.














To proceed for VC settings we need Pre-requisites like
Fiscal year variant (K4 or V3) - (Tcode OB29)
Assigning fiscal year to company - (OB37)
Chart of accounts for company - (OB62)
Maintenance of Company code with Material Management (Maintain Company codes for Material management) - (OMSY)

Proceeding with MRP group Overall Maintenance (OPPZ)
Define MRP group for Each Material type (KMAT)
Define MRP Controllers
Defining Scheduling Margin Key.

The above setting will be needed from FI and MM module perspective.

(However here when looking to go ahead with Fiscal year by taking V3; I am unable to proceed further where I can't do MCC for MM, need you guru's help on this topic).

From here SD Consultant role will be started.

Create Configurable Material
Select Basic data, Classification, Sales org data 1, Sales org data 2, General/Plant data, MRP 1, 2,3.

Maintain all of the above.

Create Charectorstics:
Maintain Charectorstics for example a car like Engine_Capacity, Transmission, Fuel, etc.

Create Class:
Maintain Data in Basic data, Charectorstics tab's.

Create Configuration Profile:
Choose the created material (specify number) and assign Class created for the Charectorstics.
